Monster Park Guide~

Monster Park is a new training area added in near the beginning of the Jump update! It is special because it is a party play zone, meaning you get +50% exp for each party member you have! This area has dungeons for every level, from 13 to 200! Monster Park is used a lot now because all other party play zones (Lionheart Castle, Ellin Forest, Neo City, Future Ereb) were changed to normal hunting areas.

To get to Monster Park, you must talk to the Monster Park Shuttle in each town. You can talk to it again inside to go back to where you came from.

There are three gates in Monster Park. Each one is for a different level range. You cannot enter the gates of the level ranges that are higher or lower than yours. That is to say, you will only be able to use one gate at a given level. Pressing up on a portal gives you the option of choosing which dungeon you would like to go in.

Level 13 ~ 69

  • Golem Temple (Lv. 20 ~ 30)
  • Kerning Square (Lv. 45 ~ 55)
  • Witch’s Snowfield (Lv. 50 ~ 60)
  • Tranquil Sea (Lv. 55 ~ 65)
  • Temple’s Shadow (Lv. 60 ~ 70)
Level 70 ~ 119
  • Black Mountain Pass (Lv. 70 ~ 80)
  • Grey’s Lair (Lv. 75 ~ 85)
  • Automated Security Zone (Lv. 85 ~ 95)
  • Mossy Forest (Lv. 95 ~ 105)
  • Sky Forest Training Centre (Lv. 100 ~ 110)
  • Forbidden Time (Lv. 110 ~ 120)
Level 120+
  • Destroyed City (Lv. 120 ~ 130)
  • Forest of Dead Trees (Lv. 125 ~ 135)
  • Watch Tower (Lv. 130 ~ 140)
  • Dragon’s Nest (Lv. 140 ~ 150)
  • Temple of Oblivion (Lv. 150 ~ 165)
  • Knight’s Fortress (Lv. 165 ~ 175)

Now, to enter one of these dungeons, every member of the party must have a ticket! That’s where Mary comes in. She lets you trade in 10 ticket pieces for 1 ticket. The ticket is used up as soon as you enter the first stage.

Each level range has a different ticket. 13 ~ 69 people use the Zebra Printed Ticket, 70 ~ 119 people use the Leopard Printed Ticket, and 120+ people use the Lion Printed Ticket.

You get ticket pieces from monsters that are within the level range of the gate you want to go to.

You can also get complete tickets from Treasure Monsters. Of course, if you’re lazy, you can buy tickets from Mary. She sells them for 50k, 100k, and 200k each. You can only buy 3 tickets per day.

I’ll talk about the other NPC later in this post.

Now that you have a ticket, you can enter the Monster Park! There are 6 stages for each dungeon, and some have many mini-bosses and a boss while others have only a boss. The monsters have high HP but high exp rewards as well! Join up with your friends to tackle them!

They also have some special drops! First off, they drop potions which give you exp for your personality traits!

Secondly, they drop equipment. Yeah, I know what you’re thinking, what’s so special about that?

Well, the equipment dropped in Monster Park always comes out unidentified!

And finally, they drop Monster Park Coins, which you can trade in to Racoo, the other NPC I showed, for prizes. Monster Park Coins are given to every party member when one person loots them, so there’s no fighting over who gets which coin!

The first item is Spiegelmann’s Badge Box, which you can open for a badge with randomized stats. There can be str, dex, int, luk, attack, magic attack, speed, jump, basically any stat. You can get a Bronze, Silver, or Gold badge. The better the quality, the higher the stats can go. They last for 7 days.

The second item is Spiegelmann’s Mustache, which is a face accessory that gives 5 attack/magic attack and 100 charisma & charm. It lasts for 5 days.

The third item is Spiegelmann’s Autograph, which is a pocket item that gives 3 to all stats and 2 attack/magic attack. It also gives 30 to all personality traits. It lasts for 7 days.

The final item is Spiegelmann’s Hot Air Balloon 7 day Pass. This gives you access to the Spiegelmann’s Hot Air Balloon Riding skill for 7 days. You can even use the balloon when flying from continent to continent instead of an airplane!

Now with all those items, how can we forget Spiegelmann himself? Each day, he will have two quests for you. One is to clear a dungeon of your level, and that gets you 5 Monster Park Coins. The other is to collect an Old Envelope from the monster inside. Hmm… intriguing. He gives you 5 coins for that as well. But what he doesn’t know is that the monsters have more than one envelope!

Open up extra envelopes and you’ll find some secrets about Spiegelmann! I guess he knows and does more than he lets on! Of course, Spiegelmann will pay you in coins to give these pictures back to him, 10 for Zakum, 20 for Horntail, and 30 for Van Leon.

Pretty cool! But I think this will ridicule ALL training places in gMS, even NLC! Because if there is party play, no need to train by yourself.

i think you mean LHC, because NLC is new leaf city .__. and no, monster park gives better experience and it’s way more fun

For lower levels, NLC/HH is useful and this PQ is for 13-200.

Good stuff, unidentified equips. I’m kinda dissapointed how the coin items are time limited.

The drop rate for the tickets is high or low?

    • Anonymous
      July 12, 2011 at 3:42 pm

one ticket piece from about every 5~10 monsters

  5. Hudos
    July 12, 2011 at 3:53 pm

I’m also interested in the drop rate of tickets. Also if it’s possible to collect more than 10 ticket pieces and then trade them in for more than 1 ticket at a time.

      July 12, 2011 at 4:23 pm

sadly, nexon didnt think that over very well imo. right now you trade 10pieces per ticket, one at a time 😦

this is old …. right … why is it on top ?

Then I’d change the title to “Monster Park Walkthrough” just to avoid any confusions xP

No one has ever made a guide about this until now.

    • July 14, 2011 at 11:00 pm

I admit, I thought of the same thing. But last I remember that’s when Spadow started to post less. I constantly asked about him about the badges and didn’t get an answer until two weeks after it came out in KMS.

This is great, you covered things about it I never knew about before, like the envelopes and the rewards. Keep it up with these guides, they’re great! You should make a link somewhere on the side to find easy access to this since it can get lost very easily in time!

I’d love to see a guide on the new Victoria Island quests and the order they go in and how they tie in!

    Thanks!

Very nice. I’m gonna look forward to Monster park, but by then I’ll be out of Temple Of Oblivion’s range and into Cygnus Fortress by then.
I saw the picture of Van Leon and Spieglemann a while ago on Spadow’s blog, and I STILL am creeped out by Van Leon smiling…at all!

  10. July 12, 2011 at 8:49 pm

Damn I hate how the item’s for the coins are last only a few days. But unidentified items, wow can’t wait. But how much higher HP does the monsters have in monster park? Plz tell if you know.

  11. July 12, 2011 at 9:04 pm

    Nice work!

How long will it take to get a full ticket? I mean, does getting 10 ticket pieces require heavy grinding or can you just go pick up 50-60 ticket pieces before you start doing the PQ? I really hope it’s the latter, as I’m going to stockpile those things by the hundreds… even when I’m bored. On days I can’t play I’ll still log on just to buy me 3 tickets…

    • Max
      July 13, 2011 at 9:42 am

It really doesn’t take that long, perhaps 2-5 minutes for 10 pieces? I never really time it haha.

      • SlayerGhost
        July 13, 2011 at 11:34 am

Doesn’t seem too bad. Do they drop based on the level of the monster? I know, kinda a stupid question, but logic and common sense don’t really exist in Nexon’s world…

        • Max
          July 13, 2011 at 11:44 am

          Yeah they do

          • SlayerGhost
            July 13, 2011 at 12:49 pm

And… one last question… When Monster Park releases in GMS, given the fact that it’s a party play zone and that the average person will probably have hundreds of tickets on stock, do you think it will kill training outside of the PQ? I ask because many, many people I know have quit Maple due to the way training is handled right now.

          • Max
            July 13, 2011 at 1:32 pm

Training in normal maps will definitely become less common. I think most people now just party quest and monster park, but training is viable when you don’t have anymore tickets.

          • SlayerGhost
            July 13, 2011 at 5:15 pm

Won’t let me reply to your last post…

I think instead of it being thought of as training, people will see it as hunting ticket pieces… Either way, though, this is great. Can’t wait til it comes to GMS.

Hm… By any chance, have you ever seen any secret mastery books drop from the mobs inside? I have a feeling that the only reason why mastery book prices are so high in GMS nowadays (especially for us archers) is because everyone and their mother either trains in world tour areas or LHC.

    • Max
      July 13, 2011 at 11:29 pm

Can’t say that I have, lol.

    • September 16, 2011 at 6:18 pm

Alilatias can you tell me whether its just me or Nexon, because I used 1 bil already on Boomerang Step 30 mastery books. By any chance do ‘YOU’ know any monsters that drop it? Nevertheless is it that I am extremely unlucky because I failed about 15 Boomerang Step 30 mastery books already and I am mad like hell!

I’m only worried about equips, if it’s always unidentified. There would be people who would just take the equips for themselves when there are people who would need it. So I guess this place is best with friends.

A level 120 can go in any of the areas correct?

    • SwordStaker

Any of the 120+ areas I should say

      • Anonymous
        July 14, 2011 at 3:06 am

I don’t know for sure, but I am pretty sure a 120+ can enter any area 120 and down with any partymates of at least the level of the area. And a level 120 person can enter a 120 area, but cannot, let’s say, 130 area.

Nope, a level 120 would be able to go into any of the dungeons in the 120+ gate, even the Knight’s Fortress. The person would not be able to go into any of the other gates.

            July 14, 2011 at 12:09 pm

So would that mean you could go to Knight’s Fortress at lvl 120 with 5 high leveled guildies and just leech off of the party exp?
