kMSt ver. 1.2.410 – More Skill Changes!

So later today the Maple homepage will be updated with information about Justice, but there was still a patch in Tespia! Nothing except some skill changes though… Be sure to come back later to see the new content!

Also, another boss has been changed into an instance dungeon, Van Leon!

Assassin

  • Shuriken Burst: stars consumed has been decreased from 4 to 2

Hermit

  • Shadow Web: max level has been decreased from 20 to 10, duration of DoT has been decreased from 8 to 6
  • Shade Split: now consumes 3 stars
  • NEW SKILL: Adrenaline: Increases the healing effect of potions by 170%, however potions that heal based on percentage (such as Elixirs) will not be affected. (max level: 10)

Night Lord

  • Quadruple Throw: damage has been increased from 286% to 293%
  • Dark Serenity: attack boost has been increased from 35 to 40, passive effect of ignoring monster defense has been increased from 20% to 30%
  • Sudden Raid: delay has been increased

Bandit

  • Karma: attack boost has been increased from 20 to 30

Chief Bandit

  • Meso Explosion: Assassinate Points no longer affect this skill

Shadower

  • Assassinate: cooldown has been removed, Assassinate Points changed to Killing Points, if you use Assassinate with 5 Killing Points, Assassinate’s damage will be increased 2.5x
  • Boomerang Step: Assassinate Points no longer affect this skill
  • Shadower Instinct: when you kill a monster while this skill is active, you’ll gain 1 Killing Point, for every Killing Point you have when using this skill, you will gain 6 more attack, skill duration has been decreased from 180 seconds to 60 seconds, delay has been decreased
  • Sudden Raid: delay has been increased

Dual Blader

  • Sudden Raid: delay has been increased

Night Walker

  • Shuriken Burst: stars consumed has been decreased from 3 to 2
  • Shadow Web: max level has been decreased from 20 to 10, duration of DoT has been decreased from 8 to 6
  • Shade Split: now consumes 3 stars
  • NEW SKILL: Adrenaline: Increases the healing effect of potions by 170%, however potions that heal based on percentage (such as Elixirs) will not be affected. (max level: 10) (third job)

Pirate

  • Quick Motion: avoid boost has been removed, now increases maximum speed by 20 and jump by 10
  • Dash: max level has been increased from 5 to 10, no longer consumes MP, speed boost has been increased from 40 to 50

Infighter

  • Screw Punch: delay has been decreased
  • Mental Clarity: attack boost has been increased from 25 to 30

Marauder

  • Stun Mastery: chance to hit a critical on a stunned monster has been increased from 40% to 60%
  • Energy Charge: amount of energy charged per hit has been decreased from 8100 to 300, duration has been decreased from 60 seconds to 30 seconds, attack boost has been increased from 20 to 30, now increases defense and magic defense by 300 and speed by 30, Power Guard effect and avoid boost have been removed
  • Double Spiral: damage has been decreased from 630% to 225%, now attacks twice, Screw Punch can now be used both before and after this skill instead of just after
  • Critical Rage: max level has been increased from 15 to 20, now increases critical chance by 15%, critical chance rate boost on a boss monster has been increased from 15% to 20%
  • Vipersition: defense and avoid boosts have been removed, now increases damage by 15%, passively increases status resistance and elemental resistance by 30%, and knuckle mastery by 70%, new pre-requisite of level 20 Knuckle Mastery
  • Energy Blast: chance to recover Energy has been increased from 30% to 100%, amount of Energy recovered has been increased from 90 to 100, no longer consumes MP, delay has been increased

Gunslinger

  • Recoil Shot: range has been increased
  • Magnum Shot: can now activate Captain Dignity
  • Infinity Bullet: amount of bullets consumed has been decreased from 150 to 100, duration has been increased from 140 seconds to 180 seconds
  • Triple Fire: can now activate Captain Dignity

  • Wings: delay has been increased, animation has been renewed

Valkyrie

  • Double Barrel Shot: delay has been increased, can now activate Captain Dignity, now consumes 2 bullets
  • Hollow Point Bullet: attack boost has been increased from 20 to 30
  • Assemble Crew: cooldown time has been decreased from 120 seconds to 30 seconds
  • Valkyrie Patient: max level has been increased from 15 to 20, defense and magic defense boost has been changed from 500 to 30%, HP and MP boost has been decreased from 800 to 600
  • Full Metal Jacket: critical chance boost has been increased from 20% to 30%, mob’s defense ignored has been increased from 10% to 20%

Captain

  • Rapid Fire: can now activate Captain Dignity
  • Fusillade: can now activate Captain Dignity, now consumes 4 bullets
  • Pirate Style: max level has been decreased from 30 to 20, attack boost has been removed, now increases damage by 10%, avoid reduction has been increased from -240 to -300, now gives a 60% stance effect
  • Crew Commandership: if you have a crew member summoned you will get a boost of 30 attack, Muirhart now increases critical damage by 10% instead of increasing defense and accuracy, Valerie now increases critical chance by 10% instead of increasing total damage, Jack’s HP and MP boost has been increased from 10% to 20%, each crew member hits different damage now (310%, 300%, 240%)
  • Captain Dignity: max level has been increased from 20 to 30, no longer increases defense and decreases mob damage, now gives 70% gun mastery and a 1o0% chance to add a 70% damage explosion with each attack (essentially Final Attack)

Striker

  • Quick Motion: avoid boost has been removed, now increases maximum speed by 20 and jump by 10
  • Dash: max level has been increased from 5 to 10, no longer consumes MP, speed boost has been increased from 40 to 50
  • NEW SKILL: HP Increase: increases max HP by 20% (max level: 10) (first job)
  • Corkscrew Blow: delay has been decreased, damage has been decreased from 360% to 340%, max level has been decreased from 20 to 10
  • Energy Charge: amount of energy charged per hit has been decreased from 8100 to 300, duration has been decreased from 60 seconds to 30 seconds, attack boost has been increased from 20 to 30, now increases defense and magic defense by 300 and speed by 30, Power Guard effect and avoid boost have been removed
  • Energy Buster: damage has been decreased from 800% to 400%, now attacks twice
  • Mental Clarity: attack boost has been increased from 25 to 30

  • NEW SKILL: Tornado Upper: Quickly hit six enemies for 350% damage each with a whirlwind (max level: 20) (second job)
  • MOVED SKILL: HP Increase
  • Spark: max level has been decreased from 20 to 10
  • Stun Mastery: chance to hit a critical on a stunned monster has been increased from 40% to 60%
  • Critical Rage: max level has been increased from 15 to 20, now increases critical chance by 15%, critical chance rate boost on a boss monster has been increased from 15% to 20%
  • Stun Mastery: chance to hit a critical on a stunned monster has been increased from 40% to 60%
  • NEW SKILL: Energy Blast:  With the transformed spirit, energy is shot towards enemies and hits up to 8 monsters for 460% damage 4 times, 100% chance to increase energy by 100, can only be used when energy has been gathered (master level: 20)
  • REMOVED SKILL: Critical Punch
  • REMOVED SKILL: Fist Enrage

    You said earlier that Zakum and Horntail are instanced as well, but I tried last night to Zakum for my 120 books, and I had to fight Koreans for the altar. Is it only instanced in KMSt?

    At least things are looking up in this update for Pirates

    They now have 120% speed and 110% jump at first job and dash can now rush mobs for no MP (not including the sweet 150% speed). For Viper class, at least the much missed skill of T and ST’s attack buff has been compensated with 30 from Mental Clearity and 30 from Energy Charge. Stun Mastery is now super useful, since 1 in 5 hits can stun the enemy, and you can get up to 125% critical rate damage on mobs when stunned! (5% base crit, 35% dice, 15% critical rage, 60% stun mastery, 10% explorer crit ring) Energy Charge is also now the new core skill of Vipers, in which you charge 300 energy per attack, 700 energy on bosses and receive 90% stance, 30% speed boost, and gives 300 accuracy, defense and magic defense. (IIRC, this also replaces the 300 defense and magic defense buff from T) Sadly, duration has been decreased. Viperstition gives a sweet 15% attack boost, 30% elemental resistance and 70% knuckle mastery. For Energy Drain and MP Recovery’s loss, we now have Endurance, so potless training can still be viable. All in all, this update for Vipers are not THAT bad. We do more damage on bosses and we still have some iframes left. (Does FE give iframes?)

    First sweet thing i noticed from Captains was that they had 60% stance now from Pirate Style, so at least it was something. Valkyrie Patient gives 600 HP and MP, which helps bossing and training, if stacked with Adv Bless (possible?) gives 1350 HP and MP boost! Captains get FA skill (adds 70% damage to each attack since they had 100% proc chance!, woots! Rapid Fire probably will be more powerful now. 10% attack from Pirate Style and 20% from Bullseye plus 30 attack from Hollow Point Bullet will help bossing damage but I don’t think it can still replace BC and BT.

    Probably Vipers got a better update than Captains. So much for hoping for the comeback of Battleship in this update </3 But I heard someone said it might be used in Pirate Hero, so we'll just have to wait and see.

      I agree with you, at first I didn’t like the Viper Update but now i’m coming around. The only things I don’t like in what they did was reduce Energy Charge’s time from 60 to 30 secs and also removing the avoidability boost from quick montion

        Heh, a weird but logical thing from Pirate Style (Captain) was that they actually REDUCED avoidability (-300) but it can probably be negated by Bless, Adv Bless.

      Power Guard isn’t that helpful anyway, would you wanna walk to the monster and touch it just to deal a little extra damage? 8100 was a glitch in the first place, -.- and 300 is higher than the original 200, so you can charge faster than before, what’s more u charge almost doubly faster against bosses (700) so they are NOT NERFED BADLY =.= You can spam energy blast when your energy is fully charged, so please don’t rant when you don’t know facts

    bleh.. i was hoping this update would include other classes too. Playing the new characters, especially a class like Demon Slayers, I really see how far warriors have fallen behind. This is coming from a person who always supported Nexon’s decision to add new classes too! but wow… Demon slayers just… OBLITERATED warriors. I mean, they get awesome defense skills, their hp is on par with any other warrior, their skills are BETTER in every way, attack is 5 times stronger than a powerful warrior skill (Sacrifice for example), and they get 100% stance at lvl 10.

    the decrease of energy charge is understandable, i mean 8100 is instant charge, no means of charging skill,with this much it should be called “energy toggle”. but decrease it to 30 sec is really bad. this class needs something to refill the energy charge uptime like killing with a specific combo of skill so it could add like 15 sec at first, and then re-iteration would give less and less until none.

    Max, could you clarify something about Shadower instinct? Do the points disappear after the buff runs out, and does your attack increase by 6 for every killing point, so every monster you kill you get stronger, or do you need to recast it? last thing, does assassinate use up killing points, and does to 2.5 dmg effect stack? (so if you had 10 points 5x dmg, 50 points 25x dmg?)

      The Killing Points are used up when you use the actual skill. Theres a maximum of 5 points I believe, so an extra 30 attack for Shadower Instinct if you have all 5 KP when you use the skill.

      Assassinate does use them up, but I’m not sure how it works :S

    Moving on, it’s still nice to see Gunners killing on ground instead of on ship.
