kMS ver. 1.2.154 – Empress Cygnus Defeated!
In many servers in kMS, Empress Cygnus has finally been defeated! I guess the last patch fixed it or something, but we can finally get Empress weapons! I for one am excited, hopefully the prices come down a lot so I can actually afford one though, haha.

You guys probably saw this screenshot already, with Empress Cygnus being defeated in Tespia. Woah, that’s a lot of drops! So many recipes!

But now I am wondering, what did the latest patch, “fix or change” ?
Before, if you killed Cygnus, she’d just kick you out before she died. Therefore you couldn’t possibly kill her.
After this patch, however, you can kill her.
Actually, I think it was this glitch (Danny posted it).
That means there will be daily runners on empress!!! Yay for price drop =D

That thing was fixed awhile ago. People thought that Empress was “glitched” (including me) because she healed herself 32 times in limgoon’s run. People were enlightened by the illegit test server run though. The test server runners used a hack that made cygnus stay in one place without doing anything. After letting empress heal herself about 40 times before the timer indicated 10minutes left, they were able to kill it. The people in the real server were inspired by this idea, and decided to gather the top 18 players in each world they could find. And they were finally able to take down 2.1bil hp 41times in 50minutes, without the use of any hacks. Grats to the players who acheived this :3! Hopefully I can afford a sword now lol

Hey, stupid question: Do you have to beat the other boss spawns that she summons? Because in the Crusader Codex (book thing in equipment menu) their was an animation for her to die with other orbs flying at the strange cross. Also when each Cygnus Knight Boss dies, they turn into the respective colored orb that blows up.
This idea was formed purely by my own opinions so don’t blame anyone but me.
I have no idea, I’ve never been to Empress nor do I know how it works, but I assume you do have to defeat her 5 knights before defeating her.

Only way to beat her is to maker her heal herself to half hp 40times before there’s 10minutes in the timer…
That’s like 44bil hp you need to take down in a hour.
Even if people use no delay hacks+mob freeze, you need at least a 4person party hitting damage cap (like the illegit tespia run that barely finished).
Solo’s won’t be happening.
The solo can only take down all the knights and 2bil of empress’s hp.
I don’t understand something. Are the lvl 140 equips her drops or not? I play global and whenever I’m in the FM someone is always selling lvl 140 equips, armor and weps, for stupidly high prices I might add. Also there are a bunch of videos on sites like youtube that show that she was defeated. Are all of those hacked runs? Pretty sure the solo runs where people do all 9’s are hacked anyway.
Empress drops both 140 weapons and armor (I believe) but the instructors she summons drop the armor only, so armor is (probably) not hacked. Weapons however, did come from Hot Time and the Music Box (in GMS), so again they’re probably not hacked.
So she actually drops the weapon itself? I think it’s a very low rate but still, does she?

I hope they can actually patch hacks before this reaches GMS, otherwise every BT hacker will just go and solo empress with their ST.

Only difference now is that she needs to rest before healing herself. She’s beatable, but she still restores her HP a bagillion times.

I have a question. In Maplesea , all their ranges are considerably lower than those in kms , some even 1/5 of the ranges here , why was it easier to down in maplesea server instead of kms

As Anon #49 said, Cygnus can easily be solo’d in JMS and 140 weapons are crap (used to be around a 1000 yen, now its only around 300 yen?)
JMS was the first to legit beat Pink Been as well…I guess JMS is the most OP of all MS versions
It’s not OPness but the publisher. Nexon Japan fixed the glitch way before any other version, which is why they defeated it first.
