kMS ver 1.2.198 – Kingdom of the Past, Kritias & Bamon League!

The conclusion of the RED update, Kritias, has been released! This patch includes the new area of Kritias, the 1 vs 100 boss Hekaton, and the new content Bamon League! It’s actually not as exciting as the last two patches, but I guess that was expected, haha.

I thought that boss PvP was supposed to be with this patch, but it’s not… so I’m not sure. The above video was released today, titled ‘Hekaton Special Video’. Sorta boring if you ask me…

After his revival, the Black Mage hid himself away in a kingdom called Kritias, which disappeared long ago but has now returned. Near the Minar Forest, you can move to Kritias through the map Sky Nest 1 if you are level 160 or higher.

You can also use Pantheon’s Dimensional Portal, Veritas, or Crystal Garden to move to Kritias.

The return of Kritias combined with the revival of the Black Mage has caused strong monsters to appear! In addition, at the center of the kingdom, an upside down castle floats in the sky. Just what is happening in Kritias?

In Kritias’ magic school Renheim, you can use the dimensional portal Kerkoporta to move to other towns.

A special feature of Kritias is the appearance of Inverse Magic Stones. Fragments of these stones will drop from monsters and if you are holding an Inverse Magic Stone Combiner, it will automatically be charged with Inverse Magic (generally dropped in stacks of 15-20).

You can buy a combiner from Cuelberne for 5000 mesos.

You can trade in your Inverse Magic to Lavian in the magic school Renheim to get Kritias Commemoration Coins or Enheim Coins. 700 Inverse Magic is required for one Enheim Coin and 1200 Magic + 1 Inverse Magic Stone for the Kritias Coins.

I’m not too sure of all the ways to acquire an Inverse Magic Stone, but I did get one after completing all 5 stages of daily quests in Kritias. So you might only be able to get 1 Stone per day…

The first two items are the Inverse Jewel Earrings (6 all stats, 600 HP and MP, 4 attack and magic attack, 6 slots, untradeable) and Inverse Metal Shoulderpad (10 all stats, 10 attack and magic attack, 1 slot, untradeable).

The third is the Inverse Codex, a pocket item that starts off with 2 to all stats, 2 attack and magic attack. You can then infuse Inverse Magic Stones with it to increase its stats! I’m not sure how many stones it takes but I know what stats it will gain.

• Level 1: 50 defense and magic defense
• Level 2: 100 defense and magic defense
• Level 3: 100 HP and MP
• Level 4: 200 HP and MP
• Level 5: 1 all stats
• Level 6: 2 all stats
• Level 7: 1 attack and magic attack
• Level 8: 2 attack and magic attack
• Level 9: 1% defense ignore
• Level 10: 3% defense ignore
• Level 11: 2% boss damage
• Level 12: 3% boss damage

The three Inverse items are level 150 and there is a set effect! For wearing all three of the items above, you’ll gain 20 attack and magic attack and 20% boss damage.

This is what the new chair, Hekaton’s Rest looks like, but it pales in comparison to the size of the real Hekaton, haha.

Yep, you read that right, Tyrant gloves! They are superior items and begin with 15 attack or magic attack, with 2 slots. They’re untradeable and can be traded if you use the Platinum Scissors of Karma.

  

These new items have been added, they’re called Damage Skins. The first is the base, the second is called Digitalize, and the third is called Kritias. Using one will change the appearance of your damage numbers (except the first, unless you already used one of the other ones). However, Zero cannot use them.

            

            

And here’s what they look like. The first is the Digitalize skin and the second is the Kritias skin.

The Black Mage’s commanders have begun to invade Kritias! Periodically, two of them will join together and attack Kritias with their monsters, and you will have to defend against them!

Invasions will take place from 8am to 10pm every day.

Kritias’ environment will change based on these invasions! Beforehand, it will be calm and the residents will appear.

However, when they do invade, the town will become dark and destroyed. What are the Black Mage’s commanders aiming for in Kritias?

During an invasion, the invasion situation UI will appear. You can use this UI to see the remaining time, as well as send messages to your friends to fortify defenses and create a game plan.

The monsters outside will change based on the commanders that are invading. Help Kritias defend itself against its enemies!

A 1 vs 100 battle in the upside down castle in Kritias, all worlds will have to assemble to fight the giant boss Hekaton! Hekaton is a boss bigger than you’ve ever seen before!

Anyone level 30 or higher from any world will be able to fight Hekaton by accepting the quest which appears 5 minutes before he spawns (at 3PM, 7PM, and 9PM daily).

You will have 30 minutes to defeat him! The battle will be seamless and act as if you were in an expedition with those around you, and everyone’s max HP will be adjusted by a certain amount after entry.

Hekaton is split into 6 parts, chest, fists, arms, shoulders, stomach, and head). To defeat each part, you’ll have to attack the cores that are located on them.

The chest’s core has shields that will protect it from damage, and to break through it you must defeat all other parts of Hekaton. Shields will regenerate over time so you’ll have to gather many warriors and attack strategically!

All around the map, there will be floating platforms which move from the ground to the sky. Use them to your advantage to target the giant boss who cannot be seen on one screen!

For lower levels who cannot do as much damage, there exists mounted weapons all across the map. These will also show up on the minimap as flags.

To use them, you can go near them and press the ‘sit’ button.

• Flying Battleship: you will be able to fly around the map and attack Hekaton, dealing 500k damage continuously
• Harpoon: you will be able to aim and seal one of Hekaton’s body parts for a certain period of time
• Cannon: you will be able to fire a cannon and one of Hekaton’s body parts, dealing 1m damage

While inside the battle, you’ll see a ranking which lists character names and the world they’re from. This ranking is based on your contribution to the fight and at the end, you’ll receive prizes based on your rank.

Rank 1~7 will receive Inverse Magic Stones after the fight is over.

During the battle, you’ll have to make your way around the map and fight the different body parts which have different attacking patterns! The shiny blasts from Hekaton’s core will heal him if they hit you!

If you die inside, you will not lose experience and will be revived on the walls around Hekaton. You will also be unable to switch equipment, keyboard shortcuts, or use items, pets, and Androids. This means you’ll have to fight without auto pot, auto buff, and your Android heart stats!

Now in Maple World, you can capture and raise monsters to battle against others, Bamon League has been added! Anyone level 13 and above can participate after they receive the Bamon Capture skill.

You can travel Maple World and capture monsters with your Bamon Capture skill, which will level up as you attack them. Once you have gotten it to at least level 1, you can use it on a monster and a mark will appear on their head. Defeat that monster and it will attempt to catch them!

The chance to catch a monster will depend on its level and your skill’s level. All captured monsters will be shared throughout your account.

You can see all of your captured monsters in the Bamon Book. Monsters that do not appear here will not be able to be captured.

Bamon League gives 1% to all stats for each tier conditions you complete. The conditions are to get to the next rank (mentioned below) and capture a certain number of monsters in that tier. For example, T1 requires you to be a Beginner and capture 20 T1 monsters.

In your Bamon Book, you can set the three monsters that you will use in the League, as well as their attacking and defending skills and the equipment they will be using.

You will gain access to more skills as you complete Bamon quests.

Battle Monster equipment will drop from monsters, and will have a red B in the bottom left corner of the icon. They will also state that you can only equip them on Battle Monsters.

After you have at least 3 monsters and have chosen your skills and equipment, you can press the Battle! button to be automatically matched up with someone in your world near your ladder ranking.

You’ll have 10 seconds to choose your order of monsters in order to fight strategically, and then the battle will commence!

After the battle is over, all monsters that participated will gain experience and your ladder points will change.

Based on your ladder points, your rank will change! Work hard to become the highest tier!

After logging in, every 30 minutes you’ll be able to go to a special map where a rare monster will appear, such as Raphael, Leonardo, or Bamon Octopus. Capture them and become a stronger Bamon League player!

Until August 28, there will be two events to celebrate the opening of Bamon League! Once per day, you’ll receive a RED Coin if you win a battle, and you’ll also get one more if you lose.

The 2x Experience event has been extended until August 28! Each day you get 2 30 minute 2x Experience Coupons. There will also be 2x experience every weekend from 1pm to 4pm.

Season 3 of the 2013 Summer Achievement event has begun and will run until August 14.

There are 6 achievements and for each one you get a title (that gives stats!) that expires and a couple give some RED Coins.

• Battle Monster Rookie: complete the Bamon monster tutorial – +1 all stats title
• Giant Enemy: enter the queue to fight Hekaton – 1 att/m.att title
• Summer’s Gift: receive one RED Hot Time prize on Saturday – 50 def/m.def title + 2 RED Coins

The Pandora’s Box item which I talked about before has had its special items updated, it can now give you level 150 armor, premium scrolls (which give a weapon 10 attack/magic attack at a 100% chance), and RED equipment.

Epi’s Box has also been updated with 2 new chairs, new autopilot riding mounts, and rare scrolls.

The Pipsqueak Commander package has been released for 27000 Cash. This package gives you the three pets and some food, but none of their accessories.

You can also buy the pets separately for 12400 Cash and that will give you their accessories. Van Leon’s is Ifia’s Rose, so cute~

The Maple Auction Silver Ticket has been released (and I mentioned it before). It costs 1200 NX and removes your search limit, increases your buying/selling slots to 10, and allows you to set auctions to up to 48 hours. It lasts 1 day.

The new Supia package has been released for 8800 Cash. it comes with a cape, weapon, top and pants. There’s both a male and female version.
